Kayak Fishing is quickly becoming a hot trend in Singapore. It is fun, easy & an extremely memorable way to catch a fish in Singapore.
About This Kayak Session
This is a fully guided Kayak fishing tour. The tour includes bringing participants to fishing spots and teaching them the basics of bottom fishing, as well as basic kayak handling skills and of course lots of photo taking along the scenic routes.
SGFR Kayak Tour
Kayak Tour starts from 8am to 3pm.
Please be there by 7.45am for the safety and equipment briefing. You will be brief on how to secure your equipments to the kayak and other safety procedures to follow.
Meeting Point is @ KOKOMO Beach Club
Please find us on the ramp to the left of the kayak storage area.
Where to Park or Alight?
The nearest carpark to Kokomo beach is Carpark E. But you may park at Pasir Ris Carpark F which provides free parking (Map of Carpark F) and walk over. If taking taxi, from the Passionwave drop off point, walk towards the shore. You should be able to see the meet point to the right.
1. Fishing Hat or Cap
2. Long sleeved shirt (preferably with UV protection material)
3. Leg Sleeve (preferably with UV protection material)
4. Water shoes or Sandals/Slippers
5. Neck Buff, Sunglasses, gloves
6. Waterproof Phone Case
Things to bring:
1. Sunscreen (SPF 50 or above)
2. 2-3 Plastic Bags (to bring home your catches)
3. Minimum 2L water per person
4. Packet lunch
5. Drybag/Bag to keep your belongings
6. Cooler Box or Icebox, Additional change of clothes and toiletries
You will be provided with;
Kayak Rental for 8 hours
The rental will include the transport, launch and return of kayak to storage area. We use Hobie Kayak. These Hobie Kayaks are very stable and are feet peddle operated. Each kayak comes with a minimum of 2 rod holders per pax, as well has front, back and hatch space to store items.
SGFR Professional Fishing Guide
Our guide will conduct a safety briefing before we start. He will also bring an icebox to store the fish, nets to scoop the fish and pliers to land the fish.
Ready to go Fishing Equipment
SGFR will provide all the fishing equipment. These includes Fishing Rod (1 per participant), Reels, fishing line, Prawn Bait and all the necessary rigs and sinkers to do bottom fishing.
Participants to bring these items if required;
Lunch is not provided.
Participants will need to bring their own packed lunch and minimum 2L water per pax.
Plastic bags or Cooler Boxes
You will need to bring cooler boxes or plastic bags to bring home your catches. We recommend using a reusable icebox or styrofoam boxes.
Additional Fishing Equipments
For experienced participants, they can choose to do luring or jigging but will need to bring their own lures or jigs.
- For any equipment damage to any of the rented equipment, SGFR will inform the participant of the damages and invoice them accordingly.
Although capsizing is extremely rare. It may happen. In this event, Our trained guides will handle the situation and perform the rescue. Any loss of belongings due to the capsize or accidental events will not be compensated by SGFR as these are acts of nature. Participants will be taught to secured their equipments during the safety briefing.
Should an accident happen, our guides may temporarily halt the tour to bring the participant to safety and assist to call for ambulance/paramedics. Our guides are trained to handle minor injuries and have a basic first aid kit.
Act of Negligence
SGFR will not be responsible for any injuries or damages to any equipment or property (Including kelongs) caused by the negligence or wilful misconduct of any of the participants.
SGFR will allow up to 2 rescheduling of services (for any reason, including expected bad weather). No cancellation is allowed after payment is made.
